Below is a brief summary of the course requirements for the following Teacher Training courses:
Before you can be accepted as a trainee on any of the courses, you're required to become a student member of the Pilates Foundation. You'll also need to have the appropriate insurance to cover your training period. Benefits of Pilates Foundation membership include opportunities to attend Pilates Foundation workshops at a reduced fee. You can also take out bespoke student insurance cover.
As a Matwork, Bridging or Comprehensive student, you'll need to complete all the required training in full, without exception. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all areas of training are studied and completed, before the final examination. Bridging and Comprehensive examinations take place twice a year, in June and November. Matwork examinations are held in accordance with the individual Teacher Trainer. Before you sit your examination, the Pilates Foundation will need to receive your examination fee.
Your Teacher Training Provider is responsible for giving you a Student Contract, which covers all your responsibilities during the Teacher Training Course. To retain your Pilates Foundation accreditation once you are certified, you will be required to pay annual subscription fees, renewable annually on 1st June.
