VENUE  Hawkwood College, Stroud, Gloucestershire GL6 7QW.
Hawkwood is a stunning Grade II listed 19th Century country house, surrounded by 42 acres of sustainably managed woodland, farmland, and gardens. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds – it is a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Hana Jones
Pilates has been at the centre of my physical self-practice for over 45 years and it continues to challenge me as I gain ever more understanding of how my body moves and changes with the passing years.   As I continue to search for new and different approaches to my work, regularly returning to the anatomy of the body in movement and the fundamental principles of the Pilates Method has helped me to keep evolving as a teacher, even after 40 years of teaching clients and training others.
I love working with teachers who want to continue learning and growing and who seek to keep their teaching interesting and lively.
Anne-Marie Zulkahari
Originally trained as a dancer in the seventies.  Whilst in NYC, she studied Pilates under the tutelage of Robert Fitzgerald a Pilates elder who had also taught Alan Herdman at a time when Pilates was relatively unknown amongst the wider population.  Anne-Marie’s apprenticeship was with Fran Lehen in her Manhattan studio.  In 1996, she was invited by Trevor Blount to become a co-founder of the Pilates Foundation UK along with Hana Jones & Dreas Reynake.  The Pilates Foundation Teacher Training Accreditation grew from those formative years.Until 2023, many Pilates Foundation teachers were trained at Anne-Marie’s studio with the help of her team of teachers.  Ever mindful of keeping her teaching approach fresh and relevant, Anne-Marie completed a Cranial Sacral therapy course, certified in the Gyrotonic® form of movement. In 2017, she certified in Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen’s four year Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner programme.  These different disciplines have greatly informed and enhanced her approach to Pilates providing more depth and understanding of the body at a cellular level.  She looks forward to sharing the work of these great pioneers and how their different  styles and disciplines can offer insight into our Pilates practise.

Flying from Scotland – Bristol airport is an hour and 15 minutes drive to Hawkwood
Train connections from Stroud to London Paddington or Bristol within 90 minutes.  Connecting trains from Swindon, Reading, Cheltenham and Gloucester from other areas.
Reaching Hawkwood from Stroud is a 30 minute walk or a ten minute taxi ride.
Driving to Hawkwood from the M5 exit 13, take the A419 to Stroud (5 miles).  From the M4 take either the A419 or A46.

Example One: Harissa Spiced Local Lamb or Squash with Roast Potatoes, Pickled Vegetables, Seasonal Greens & Shawarma Sauce followed by Chocolate pots. Example Two: Greek Style Chicken & Cauliflower Stew with a Griddled Sourdough Croute followed by Lemon Mouse. 
• Vegetarian Supper 
Example One: Tamarind and Chickpea Curry with Spinach, served with a Pomegranate Salad, followed by Watermelon Cubes with Fresh Lime & Mint. 
Example Two: Polenta with Ratatouille, Olives and Parmesan, Spinach Salad, followed by Hawkwood Apple Tatin with Cream. 

£150 non refundable deposit for shared accommodation
£180 non refundable deposit for single accomodation
A full invoice will be emailed once the deposit has been received with options to pay in full or monthly payment plans to be arranged with PF admin.
Payments should be made by the following dates.
  • 50% of the full retreat fee by 31rst October
  • 100% of the full retreat fee by 31rst December 2024
  • Cancellation charges apply
