PYM Training is dedicated to developing skilled, current, thoughtful teachers with a passion for continued learning and a good understanding of embodied anatomy and physiology.

We believe strongly that the Pilates Method should to be learnt in its full form and therefore, rather than separating our courses into “Matwork" and “Bridging/Apparatus” elements, we offer a Fully Comprehensive Teacher Training programme. However, we welcome existing teachers with a Matwork qualification to extend their qualification via a Bridging process.

PYM Training understand the demands of modern life, constraints of finances and time, and are continually striving to make our courses as accessible as possible, whilst maintaining the robust standards we are known for within the industry.

We have adapted the structure of our Comprehensive Training Programme into Modules, which when combined lead to a comprehensive qualification and entry into the Pilates Foundation examination for accreditation.

Where do I start?

Module 1- Preparing to Move, Preparing to Teach

If you are interested in becoming a Pilates Teacher (or learning a bit more about the Method to enhance your personal practice) Module 1 is the introduction to our training. Run over 3 days (one Sunday a month for 3 months) we will cover:

-An introduction into embodied anatomy.

           Day 1- Bones

           Day 2- Joints

           Day 3- Muscles and ligaments

-  The History of Pilates (evolution to current day styles),

-  Principles of Pilates (original and contemporary)

All 3 days involve movement classes, as well as theoretical and practical learning elements. There will also be home study assignments to complete.

By the end of this module you will have a better understanding of what Pilates is and how we approach Teacher Training.

Cost £480
