Elizabeth is delighted to have the opportunity to guide you through a flowing Sunday morning online class. Her teaching style adopts a mindful approach to the Pilates Method. We can unwind together, the stresses of the week. Breathe, massage, move the body to feel good. We will be giving the feet and hands some TLC too, so for this reason, bare feet is recommended.

Elizabeth started her working life as a dancer. She was first introduced to the Pilates Method when training to become a professional dancer. It was during those early years that Elizabeth was also training in other movement disciplines such as Feldenreis, Alexander Technique, the Franklin method, and Somatic Patterning. Other influences included Martha Graham technique, Merce Cunningham technique, Lester Horton technique, and Jose Limone technique. She gained a BA hon degree in Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School.

Occasionally throughout her dance career, the opportunity to teach arose. When it got to the point that Elizabeth was turning down dance work to teach, she realised that her real passion was for teaching. Over time she chose to be teaching more than dancing. 

Elizabeth was qualified by the Pilates Foundation for Mat in 2014 and APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) for all Equipment in 2019. She is also qualified in the Biomechanics method, she is a massage therapist, Parkinson's Pro certified, and has received the Royal Academy of dance Professional dancers teaching diploma. She works as a self-employed freelance teacher.
