Diastasis Recti - Understanding and Addressing Abdominal Separation in Pilates Practice

Join Grace Lillywhite on Friday 17th May for a comprehensive two-hour workshop designed specifically for Pilates teachers, focused on understanding and effectively addressing Diastasis Recti in your practice. In this workshop, we'll discuss the anatomy and physiology behind Diastasis Recti, exploring how it impacts core function and overall movement patterns. You'll gain a deeper understanding of the causes and risk factors associated with Diastasis Recti, as well as how to assess and identify it in your clients (and why there may be more to it than you realise)

Through a combination of theory and practical application, you'll learn specific Pilates-based techniques and modifications to safely and effectively work with clients who have Diastasis Recti. We'll cover a range of exercises and movement sequences tailored to address the unique needs of individuals working with abdominal separation, while emphasising proper alignment, engagement, and progression.

By the end of the workshop, you'll feel more confident and equipped to support clients with Diastasis Recti in your Pilates classes, empowering them to strengthen their core, improve functional movement, and enhance overall well-being. Deepen your understanding and refine your skills in creating inclusive and effective Pilates sessions for all. If you can't attend "live" book now to receive the recording link after the classYou will have access for 30 days.
